Vastu Shastra Rules Guide

A simple guide to the core principles of Vastu Shastra used in our AI analysis.

Main Entrance

North-East (Ishanya)
The most auspicious direction. Brings overall prosperity, health, and happiness.
North / East
Excellent for wealth, career, prosperity, and health. Doors should be in the northern part of the respective walls.
West / South
Can bring wealth but may cause issues if not placed correctly in the designated 'padas' (steps).
South-East / South-West
Should be strictly avoided. These directions can lead to disputes, health issues, and misfortune.

Room Placements

Pooja Room (Prayer Room)
Ideal in the North-East zone. East and North are second best. Avoid placing it under a staircase or next to a toilet.
Kitchen
Ideal in the South-East (Agneya), the corner of fire. The cook should face East. North-West is the second-best option.
Master Bedroom
Ideal in the South-West. This promotes stability and leadership for the head of the family. Sleep with head towards South or West.
Toilets / Bathrooms
Ideal in the North-West. Avoid North-East and South-West corners at all costs.
Living Room
Should be in the North, East, or North-East for a welcoming atmosphere.
Staircase
Best in the South, West, or South-West part of the house. Stairs should be clockwise when ascending.

General Remedies for Doshas (Defects)

Wrong Entrance
Place a Swastik, Om, and Trishul symbol on both sides of the door. Placing Vastu pyramids can also help.
Kitchen in Wrong Zone
If in the North-East, paint walls yellow and place a Vastu pyramid. Keep the gas stove in the kitchen's South-East corner.
Toilet in Wrong Zone
If in the North-East, keep the door closed at all times, place sea salt in a bowl (change weekly), and use Vastu pyramids on the outer wall.
General Tip
Keeping the house clean, clutter-free, and well-lit is a fundamental Vastu principle for positive energy flow.
